Moving Service

TechMasters’ “driver and van” service utilizes the popular yellow-number-plate vans, which are smaller and cheaper to run, thus enabling us to pass our savings on to you.

We are ideal for guest-house residents, students, sayonara-sale purchases, singles and couples, musicians and those with fewer and/or smaller items to move.

Our vehicle is equipped with a roof rack for addition items and a special attachment to safely tranport your bicycle. We also have onboard GPS systems allowing us to get you to your destination in the quickest and smoothest manner possible.

Space is limited, so we can't move large beds (unless able to be dis-assembled) or large sofas...for other items call us! The cheapest in town!

Prompt, friendly and efficient service. Space permitting, a single passenger travels with us FREE!! Short notice moves sometimes possible. English and Japanese spoken.

Notes:

•  Approximate cargo dimensions: W112cm x H108cm x L190cm (approx 2.3m³/81ft³).
•  Price is for van plus driver and excludes expressway tolls (where necessary).
•  Payment generally in cash upon completion of job unless otherwise by previous arrangement.
•  Large/heavy items (refrigerator, sofas, washing machines, etc..) will require assistance from an able-bodied person at each end. TechMasters can arrange for extra labour at an additional cost.
•  Cancellation on the day attracts a ¥8,000 cancellation fee.

Moving tips:

•  Please pack well any delicate and breakable items—TechMasters will not be responsable for damage in transit.
•  Please defrost and drain your refrigerator before the moving date.
•  Use smaller and stronger cardboard boxes for heavy items such as books and dishes.
•   Dishes, plates, and glasses can be wrapped in newspaper. Place them inside of sturdy cardboard boxes and fill any vacant spaces with towels, sheets or T-shirts.
•  Large pictures or paintings can be safely shipped. First cover the glass part with cardboard material, and wrap it with cutout cardboard or place it into a cardboard box of appropriate size.
•  Small pieces of furniture usually do not need crating, but they do need bubble wrap and cardboard wrapping. Be especially careful to wrap the corners.
•  Electric appliances can be shipped in their original cartons or similar boxes.
•  Many people use too much tape on their cardboard boxes. If you use a strong packing tape about 2 or 3 inches wide, one strip along the openings and one or two crossing strips should be adequate. It is not necessary to wrap the entire package several times with multiple layers of tape. Rope and string are also usually unnecessary.
